About STCI

STCI was established as a radio institute in 1956. At that time, there was no other institute to provide Radio Training in Northern India. Even in big cities like Delhi & Mumbai, at very few places such training was been given, but cost of training was too high. After the establishment of STCI, it became possible to provide quality training at minimum fee structure. After establishment of STCI people started coming to take world class technical training within a radius of 100-500 km. From humble beginning that started with just 16 students, STCI has prospered into a state of a polytechnic institute where students are trained in the field of electronics, mobile phone, refrigeration /air conditioning, and computer hardware & software technology.

STCI imparts job-oriented technical training to the financially weaker youth of India, at a modest fee so that unemployed /educated students can get technical training in the field of repairing of all kinds of electronic devices like computers, laptop, mobile engineering, LED/TV sets, stabilizer, inverter and refrigeration/air conditioning through a curriculum which balances theory and practical sessions. This enables students to start successful ventures of their own or to join prestigious companies.

STCI is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization and has consistently maintained world-class training standards. STCI believes hands-on practical training for the student to become confident in his area of specialization. Personal attention is given to the students, by maintaining a low student-teacher ratio. Course supervisors facilitate interactions between faculties & students.

The measurement of STCI’s phenomenal growth and adaptation within the changing, growing environment is proven by the fact that today the institute offers complete job-oriented courses to the students. The zeal & dedication of the faculty members, well equipped laboratories and the excellent teaching ethics, which includes a healthy mix of theory & practical classes.

AIM

Aim of STCI is to impart job-oriented technical training to the financially weaker youth of India, at a modest fee so that. Students can get technical training in the field of repairing of all kinds of electronic devices like TV sets, LCD CD & DVD players, stabilizer, invertor, mobile engineering, refrigeration/air conditioning & computer hardware/software through a curriculum which balances theory and practical lessons.

JOB ASSITANCE

After completion of the course, all students are provided placement assistance. Students are kept abreast of recent job openings – by interaction with STCI alumni working in various companies, job placement agencies and various job portals. This is done to enable them to provide job of their field.

Our Founder

Late Shri V.D Sharma (C&G London Qualified)

STCI, was established by Late Sh. V.D. Sharma in 1956, for upliftment of unemployed youth from the financially weaker sections of society. He wanted to lay a platform where educated youth could get world-class technical training in modest fee, and become self- dependant in life and supporting hand for their families. As a testimony to his hard work and dedication, thousands of young men & women have trained from STCI. They are working as Radio, Transistor, Television, Tape, Mobile phone, Computer (Hardware/Software), Refrigerator /AC Service Engineers in different National & Multi National organizations worldwide or running their own ventures successfully. He is regarded as the grandfather of Electronics & Information Technology in Agra. Under his intellectual guidance & caring supervision, STCI flourished to great heights. He was a great patriot and an honest man to the core. He is an inspiration to all alumni, present and future students of STCI. His blessings &guidance will always keep on enriching us to grow STCI further. Management, Staff Members & Students hereby pay their heartiest tribute to him.

Our Team

Mr. Jawahar Lal Sharma (Director)
Director of STCI, the oldest vocational training institute in India. He did his engineering in 1975 in Electronics.He has a vast teaching experience of more than 45 years now. He worked with Late Shri V.D Sharma, founder of STCI for 24 years before taking the leadership role in STCI. As a director , it has been more than 21 years and J.L.Sharma believes in the same vision of imparting affordable technical education to the weaker section of the society for their upliftment and betterment. His vast knowledge and experience is a guiding light to many students even today. His passion towards electronics has enabled him to teach all generations of electronic equipments starting from Radio, followed by Transistor, TV, Tape recorder and even computers . He is one of the first few people to assemble TV sets in India in 1975. His journey from early 80’s to 90’s have seen a huge development in the field of electronic equipments. His enthusiasm and interest in electronics helped him to keep pace with changing environment.It was his keen vision to bring newest courses to the institute. He used to understand the theory and practicals himself first and then train the staff /students under him. Under his guidance he was able to create skilled labour for India who were able to repair any latest electronic equipment. His remarkable contribution was honoured by The Great UPEAN award the year 2006.He was also honoured by moon TV at Educational Fair in 2010. He was awarded the ‘Shiksha Bharti National Award in Vocational Training’ at Delhi in 2010.

Mrs. Akanksha Sharma (Operational Head of STCI)
Akanksha Sharma is Postgradute in Psychology. She is the game changer in the history of STCI. She laid foundation for introduction of software courses to STCI. She single-handedly took charge of learning and educating the Staff and students about the Software courses, whether in learning new languages like C, C++ or showing her creativity in with help of creative softwares like adobe photoshop and likewise. . She overtook active managerial role in conceptualization, co-ordination , implementation of small or big cultural activities at STCI. She believed that in wholistic education of young India. She was aware of the importance of education of the girl child. In her class, female students were given special attention and focus ensuring ‘she’ has understood the subject completely. Akanksha Sharma’s amiable nature and great enthusiasm helped her go from strength to strength when she started managing the admin department and created a sparkling functional environment for staff and students such that everyone enjoyed while learning and educating.

Mr. Rajeev Sharma

Rajeev is an ISB graduate. Along with being a strategy advisor and a free-lance business consultant, he is an entrepreneur by profession, doctor by education and a businessman by choice.He has worked as a Business Strategist at JIIPA (Japan India Industry Promotion Association,Tokyo,Japan) where he was involved in Cross national co‐ordination leading to Joint Ventures, Technology Tie‐Ups, and Industry wide Collaborations. He has worked with the leading companies from east of India countries, Middle East countries, Thailand, China and Western Europe for strategy and Market Entry into developing nations. He has also worked as a Recruitment assistant with PasonaIndia,Japan (Language learning school near Nagpur for instilling aspirants into companies abroad in major roles).Rajeev has wide experience in Industries and Ministries and has worked with Automobile, Heavy industries, Fine machining, FMCG, Retail(1 Dollar industry), New Energy, Steel, Food, Tobacco, Textile and many more verticals. He also represented Japan at the World Future Energy Summit for the last 4 years. Having had the opportunity to work in such diverse fields, sectors, and industries has given him a chance to interact with the leading industrialists and owners of firms.

Mr. Gaurav Sharma

Gaurav is an engineer by education and an entrepreneur by profession. He has worked with major firms such as Tech Mahindra and AT&T to hone his skills in IT management and software development. Soon after, he joined his home run vocational college which is now 58 years old. Keen, innovative ideas are implemented under his guidance. Major ideas included collaborating with the Indian Air force for training purposes and for improving the quality of training imparted in the college.The idea of opening Quereq came up while developing and nurturing the institute to international quality standards. It was then that Quereq started standardizing other companies’ products to a higher bench-mark to enable them to compete in the international market at competitive prices. For instance, Gaurav managed to collaborate with a Japanese company (known for its quality standards) to scale the business to new heights. Gaurav’s vast experience of working with Russia, America, Japan, India and many more countries gives him the edge required to satisfy his client. Apart from managing Quereq, he is instrumental in strategic decision making of STCI. He is actively involved in getting the PMKVY affiliation for STCI and ensuring that students are getting quality education under PMKVY banner.

Mrs. Surbhi Mittal Sharma

Surabhiis an engineer by education and a marketing professional. After completing her information technology engineering degree course, she worked with companies like oracle. She was actively involved in building software’s for banks like Bank of America, national Australian bank etc. Surabhi’s experience in technology lead her to become the key responsible person to help companies like bisleri, capital foods to upgrade their technology capabilities. Under her guidance and tenure, she introduced many sales software and ERP systems to help seamless transfer of information. The analysis reports and documents generated from these softwares form the backbone of these companies currently. As much as technology forms the main interest in Surabhi’s career, she also explored sales & marketing domain alongside. While working with major Brands like Bisleri and Ching’s noodles, she understood and developed her marketing skills. She was able to contribute in field force development for Sales and marketing activities. She created a profitable channel of institutional sales at Bisleri. Currently she is developing a strategy for digital marketing for STCI. Her aim is to give a new direction and life to marketing activities for the new audience.
